Update #6: Project Kat v1.3.0 is on the way!
Hi everyone!
Hope you're having a great day! We're here to announce that in a few weeks a new version of Project Kat will be out and coming to Steam as well! Go check out the store page!
Here's what you can expect:
- New content: alternate endings, more dialogues, new rooms...
- Reworked all character sprites and busts
- New tracks by plasterbrain
- New user interface
- You can now party the girls???
- Etc!
As you can see, it's quite a bit! We hope you will have fun exploring the new content while we keep working hard to get Chapter 1 in your hands!
Are you leaving Itch.io behind?
Absolutely not! This update, as well as all future updates and Chapter 1, will be available on Itch.io as well, and they will both be published at the same time. Here's a quick comparison between both versions of Project Kat so you can choose what's best for you:

Why a new version?
Since we released Project Kat, we felt that many parts were unpolished and needed some extra work - as many comments pointed out, the part near the end felt rushed - and that's because it was! With v1.3, we've taken the time to smooth out some rough edges, add some extra content, and implement much of the feedback that you all provided. We want this to be a final version of Project Kat that we can be proud of!
Should I play this if I already finished Project Kat?
Up to you! The plot itself remains unchanged, including the main ending, however if you're a completionist or would simply like to see what's new, it may be worth a try to see what you can find!
What in the world is Paper Lily???
Oops, maybe we should've started there! Paper Lily is the name of the full game, and Project Kat is the name of the prologue! Actually, you know what? Here's a diagram:

The detail and artistic style, disarming and tension /dread building was very well designed. Also, best creepy tutorial intro ever.
