I just played the game and I loved it! The characters, the music and how cute the controls are explained is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to play the full game :) I will be waiting for it with so much excitement <3
I'm obsessed with this game! As dark as it was, I enjoyed the dialogue, puzzles, artwork, and the music!! I can't wait to play the rest of the game as it comes out- I've seen the progress on twitter and it's getting me more excited! I made a video on it if you wanted to see my reaction, haha.
This was absolutely awesome. The only game to give me the creeps, and the interactions were pretty cool. If you want a bit of critique, maybe the whole system where you have to go into your inventory to use keys and such? I'm a bit used to the game doing it automatically, but it's not much a big deal; I don't mind it too much.
I really loved the game, I really wish there was more, it's a game that made me tense because every second I didn't know what to expect, and if there would be any jump scare and that's why I was a little nervous and wanted to go as slowly as possible ... loved the game
this game is really good, it has a big potential, from the music the artwork. and the fact that in the game every decision has a consequence, i also love the puzzle in this game.. definitely can't wait for the finished game
I am really confused. I played the game today and finished it after 20 minutes (Till the exit door opened and I could leave). A spirit at the beginning said that everything effects the game, depending on my decisions.
Now I am not sure anymore if I did the right choice that I could leave early or the project is just finished till this point.
if the game is not finished please work on it.
The Artwork is great, little details and the game concept is great. I love "based on decision game".
I try to program a game on my own (very noobie, never programmed before and almost finished one project but I want to create an rpg like you guys). I will wait for updates.
Thank you very much! This is the prologue to a longer game we're working on, so you can expect a continuation! :) Still, 20 minutes is quite the speedrun!
I cannot wait for the finished game! so far I've had a great time with it and the art style is rather nice, you've made a very good impression with me personally with this game even though it was only about an hour to find everything I still had a great time and found my self a bit saddened when it ended so quickly, but excited when I read at the end that this is only part of a bigger project! so keep up the great work guys! I can't wait for the final product and to explore all the alternate methods that I can try and hopefully get Kat out alive.
The game is quite nice, I like the aesthetic of it, the chara design is in the style I like the best for retro games (yep, I like more the in-world version of characters than their dialogue counterpart, but both are nice.). I like the main character though we don't have a lot of time with them. And of course I like the concept that made me unable to not play it. However this project end up being in the end, I hope the concept is pushed to the extreme, because while it is nice to have maze and other thing of the sort where the character is helpless, it was a bit too much of "no other way" (I mean, kinda). I think it may be easy enough to let the possibility to "go back", though it would only lead to a new place that is still a maze. It would still be a maze, that you may have avoided entirely with another path, but a maze with several exits. Though I enjoyed the diversity in narrative text about the doors locked or not being doors anymore or disappearing behind you, I hope that same diversity will be used for new paths for those who always tries the least obvious way (and even more, used to trap or surprise or challenge these players).
This game has so much potential. I absolutely love this and can't wait to see when more updates come. I hope i see through to your final project and wish you all lots of luck. Thank you for such a pleasurable experience!
I think it has a lot of potential. It brought me back to my old classic rpg days of constantly clicking everywhere to see if any loot or stuff was hidden! The music in my opinion was awesome. Is there a way to download the song? I was expecting more jump scares or something after the encounter in the hallway.
My other favorite piece was the artwork of the characters. I think mixing more of that with the music definitely gives it more! I made a vid for it, and just wanted to say congrats on the work so far. Can't wait to see more content!
At first I was a little worried about playing this game (since I'm not the best with horror games), but I'm so glad I didn't chicken out and played through it! It was SO good. Thank you for such a wonderful game. <3
I really enjoyed this! Even if I had some problems getting it to work: I had to run this on my windows laptop because I couldn't get it to even open up on my mac. Maybe this occurred just in my case, so I don't know.
It's kinda neat, I definitely want to see what the full project would be like. the only part I don't care for is the lockpicking minigame. Great artwork.
I really liked the game you guys are making. I am still wondering if the "there is only one ending" in the description is a meta red herring because the end is kind of gasping and urges a "I want more" feeling! As the imersive indie storytelling you are aiming, I surely will keep an eye in your future work in this project.
I am also a indie dev wannabe and makes me pretty happy to see two guys, in their spare time and using all the tools available (Godot, freesound, etc etc) to make their dream tale to came alive. The art is beautiful, both anime-style and the pixel art. The sound and music is greatly made and/or assembled by you. As gameplay wise, I think the game uses well the "walking simulator"ish design to introduce the player to the world and their elements. And, lastly, I really liked the multiple perspective introduced in the avalable maps - the top-down view in the majority and the lateral side-scroller cramped door corridor. This two together make me think of both of classic Horror JRPG/VisualNovels and the Lone Survivor indie horror game. I think you nailed the vibe in this demo! Congratulations, again :)
This was an incredibly charming, engaging and atmospheric game! The art style, writing and puzzles were all very well done. You've made me very excited for the continuation of it! :)
I usually dont play horror games, and I hate RPGs, but this game has a pretty cool narrative that I'm intrigued to see more of. The art is really good and I love the pixel art style during gameplay. Really good stuff, definitely recommend playing this game (demo)
I really love horror rpgs and the horror genre in general but personally am very much a wuss and cannot handle being the person in the front seat of horror games, and thus I had to play the prologue with my friends in the background. As I pretty much flinched when slight sound effects happened and the background changes truly made me want to turn around while my friends told me to keep going. If you do go through with making the game I'd be happy to play through it again, and watch the rest of what you have in store.
Thank you so much for playing it! ^^ We did our best to make the game accessible to everyone! Also because the artist is a scaredy cat We're working hard on the continuation! ^^
Interesting, but I think the plot moved too quickly for me to be invested in the characters. I realize that it's a prologue, but I think it should be expanded some more. I wasn't really frightened by the scenes because I didn't have any kind of attachment to the characters. Kat also comes off as rude before completing the ritual, so I didn't really care for her.
0 stars i can't even read the explanation of the indeomotor effect even if i learn it i can't read it because the text move to quickly, every boring thinq does not move but the good things they can't even be seen
every single part of the game needs player interaction to work aka [interact button] but that part does not require and is speeding the text to much, spamming ctrl and f12(assigned screenshot button) made a very good text capture but i am learning to program so i can make stuff and i know that you only need to write a one(depends on how the first code is made) line for making every single part player controlled(interaction button require)
You can now read the explanation in the new version ;)
However, the moving text was initially used to portray the fact that Kat is rambling and was not meant for the player to read! It's too bad you found everything else to be boring :'D
Best rpg i have ever played. The visuals are awesome and the story is so good and well paced. If this is the demo i cant imagine how good the complete version will be. I would love to see the creators get attention. And ofc i would love to see the complete version. GREAT JOB!

I really enjoyed this! Even if I had some problems getting it to work: I had to run this on my windows laptop because I couldn't get it to even open up on my mac. Maybe this occurred just in my case, so I don't know.

Hi there! Unfortunately, Chrome OS is not officially supported :(
It's kinda neat, I definitely want to see what the full project would be like. the only part I don't care for is the lockpicking minigame. Great artwork.
That was such an amazing game! The part where you heard the glass breaking in the silence actually scared me.
